Quest'album è uscito alla fine (credo) del 2008 grazie alla cheapskate Records (la stessa che ha dato alle stampe l'ultimo dei Popsters, del quale vi parlerò presto). Tutti i tardo-adolescenti fissati col pop punk come il sotoscritto, in quest'album troveranno pane e accordi per i loro denti. Il cd parte discretamente con You're not gettin' it e si comincia a fare subito sul serio con The Jam e la splendida Isolation che ai corcerti farà sicuramente stragi di gole e che potete ascoltare gratuitamente dal loro Myspace.Ottime canzoni sono poi Now That You Are Here, This Much I Know, la potente Attack! e il pezzo finale Forever che J Prozac dedica al figlio, che è poi il bimbo della foto in copertina. Fra poco sarà disponibile anche in versione lp.
Allo allo mes ami! I have to do a quick newsletter. We just had to bail on the Italy/Spain tour due to family stuff that is too personal to go in to. Ok I'll tell you-Dave has PMS and the bloating and cramps are killing him. So he won't fly. Har har. We are rescheduling for November for Italy and Spain so we'll be back then never fear. Our apologies to everyone over there. We love you.
In other news my pal Melanie (who I wrote about last year) just had her double lung transplant and is doing amazingly well according to her Mom. She just had it done a few days ago and will be in the ICU for a while yet but the reports so far are all good! I was just wondering if you could send her a get well card or a funny stuffed animal or something to cheer her up and show her some support. The last time I mentioned her a lot of people wrote back about having Cystic Fibrosis like Melanie and it really helped her. Her address is Melanie Gadoury c/o Tampa General Hospital 1 Tampa General Circle Tampa, FL 33606 I'm going to send her a card myself this afternoon and I hope you'll do the same. She's a really great person and has been out with us on the road here and there in our travels. Though she couldn't really go for long due to her medical condition. I fully expect to see her kicking ass in the pit next time we go to Florida though.
We're almost done mixing the songs for The Riptides split. Recording a new Cholos song for a comp this weekend. Rick Respectable doesn't know it but he's drumming on it. So maybe I should call him today and let him know he has to drop all his plans and come record with Wimpy and I. I also have to write the liners for the Yum Yum's comp cd coming out on Kid Tested. Not a lot of cretins over here know about the Yum Yums but they are truly pop punk gods that make the rest of us look like mere amateurs. We've had the honor of playing with them over in Norway a few times. Just one thing after another. And we're going to Brazil as of May 21st for our triumphant return. Haven't been there since we opened for Marky down there a few years ago. Brazil is always a blast. Every time I go I always threaten to move down there. One of these days I will.
